Learn To Dive

Not a diver yet?

No problem, it’s never too late to learn. There are lessons to suit all levels and needs.

PADI (Professional Association of Dive Professionals) offers a range of courses to suite your holiday needs. Other organizations (BSAC, CMAS, SSI) offer similar courses, and most agencies recognize each other’s certificates worldwide. So go ahead, dive below the waves!

If you’re enjoying a holiday and want to give diving a try, maybe Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is for you. In just one day you can be breathing underwater, experiencing the weightlessness of this new world. Want more? There’s the Scuba Diver Course, this will give you a deeper insight into diving equipment, skills, and best of all, more time underwater! All PADI courses are designed in such a way that they can be credited to each other, so if you just can’t get enough, you can easily move onto the Open Water Diver certification. This will enable you to dive anyplace, anytime, with a certified buddy up to 18 meters.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): Ever wonder how it feels to breathe underwater, but you’re not ready to take a certification course? Try a DSD, here you will learn how to use scuba equipment in a controlled environment and get a fun introduction to the underwater world. Breathing underwater for the first time is like nothing you have ever felt before. It takes a bit of getting used to, but that’s natural; after all were not fish yet. The biggest challenge instructors face during this course if not getting divers into the water, but getting them back out again!

What you learn:

  • How it feels to breathe underwater.
  • Some core skills needed to dive.
  • What scuba gear feels like.
  • All you need to dive under direct supervision of a PADI Pro.

Prerequisites: You must be at least 10 years of age.

PADI Scuba Diver: If you have an urge to be a certified diver, but are not yet ready to go all the way then this might be the course for you. The Scuba Diver course is the first three of five sections from the Open Water Diver course, consisting of both in water and classroom sessions. On completion of your first two open water training dives you will receive your Scuba Diver certification. If you have limited time to devote to scuba education or simply just enjoy the supervision and guidance of a PADI Pro, this might be the course for you.

This course really is the perfect way into the underwater world, if you thought the Open Water Diver course would take too long, try this and you will be hooked.

What you learn:

  • The fundamentals of scuba, through both classroom and in water training.
  • Safety and buoyancy skills needed to be an independent diver
  • How to dive to 12 meters in open water, supervised by a PADI Pro.

Upgrade to Open Water Diver at any time. It takes less time to upgrade than it took to complete the first half, and then you can start diving to 18 meters with a buddy.

Prerequisites: You must be at least 15 years of age. (10 years old for Junior Scuba Diver)

PADI Open Water Diver: If you’ve ever wondered what’s beneath the surface of the world’s oceans, it’s time to sign up for the Open Water Diver course. Get down there and enjoy the 70% of the world you’ve been missing. This is where it starts.

The Open Water Diver course is the first step in becoming an independent diver. This course includes five confined water sessions and four open water dives where you learn all the basic skills for how to be safe and confident underwater. Once you’re done this course you are certified to dive worldwide with a buddy up to 18m depth.
