For The REEFsponsibles, providing unique dive holidays is our main goal; however the driving force behind our operations has always been a commitment to the environment and social development.

The success of our network is based on our intimate relationship with everyone involved. We are a small, personal business that provides memorable holidays through open communication, one on one, with divers and dive operators alike to ensure every experience is a great one.

The REEFsponsibles are dedicated to working with leaders from within the dive industry who follow environmental and socially responsible practices. We work with those operators who already have conservation programs in place and those who want to develop their own. Our aim is to raise funds through responsible tourism to support our conservation efforts and educational program Fish Tales. We want you to choose one of our partner’s projects, and know that making the choice to book through us means a portion of your purchase goes to support this cause.

Why we chose our partners?

Read about the projects underway at the center you would like to visit. For each of our partners you will find a section “Why choose...” and “REEFsponsible commitments” which explain why that dive operator was chosen to join our network.

All operators are given a survey which explains to us in detail the state of conservation efforts underway in each location. This information is used, combined with the results from other operators in the area, to develop projects we can pursue and become involved in.

All operators are encouraged to use each other’s projects as case studies to help develop their own successful projects. We aim to help those who want to become more involved in conservation develop project, and help bring awareness to already established efforts underway by others.

As part of our network, your feedback is greatly valued and is shared openly, as reviews on the website, and with the operator as we forward all comments, good or bad. Word of mouth is one of the most influential tools in the tourism industry.

Profits made from your holiday are reinvested in the communities you visit through our Fish Tales program. This project is aimed at local youth to get them involved in the industry and learn about the magic of the underwater world, so as to protect it for generations to come.
